Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has donated cash relief to those that were affected by the fire incident that occurred at the Moniya market two weeks ago.
As he promised during his visitation to the scene of the incident, the Governor fulfilled his promise by setting aside the sum of Ten million naira (#10,000,000) for the distribution to all victims affected by the inferno.
The Chairman Akinyele Local Government Area, Hon. Taoreed Adedigba Jimoh while distributing the cash relief expressed his appreciation to the Governor for his humanitarian gesture towards the people of his local government.
He said that the money had been given to the victims based on the losses of each individual.
He also appreciated him for the recent food palliatives recently distributed by the governor in Akinyele local government & prayed that may Almighty God continue to guide him right.

The governor said: “May God have mercy on us all. Whatever happens to every individual, God understands. Some people lost their lives on account of this incident. We are not mocking them, we are only thanking God.
“I know what you are going through at this time, but please don’t cry, we will collate your names, sit with you and see what we can do immediately. The local government will repair the shops. It is all of you that own the shops that will be reallocated shops.”
