MORE than four years after leaving the Oyo State Government House, Agodi for his Oluyole private residence, Governor Abiola Ajimobi has returned to Agodi.
Unlike before, the frontage of the government house now enjoys illumination while security vans have been stationed at the entrance. A source disclosed that the governor sleeps and receives visitors there.
Though the reason why he returned is still sketchy, sources told InsideOyo that a senior official of the State Security Service had advised the governor on the constitutionality of his continued stay in his Oluyole residence, instead of the government house.
In April 2016, at the 8th day Fidau for late Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Busari Haruna, Ajimobi narrated how political opponents used juju to force him of government house.
He disclosed how he had to flee his official residence after opponents directed evil traditional sacrifices (known as ebo in Yoruba) at him.
A report by Premium Times quoted Ajimobi as saying: “They first came to you Alfas to give them prayers that will send me out of office, but my own Alfa prayers superseded that of these desperate politicians.
“Every morning, I always go out on exercise. If you know the Government House very well, it has many interchange, popularly called `orita’, I see all kinds of sacrifices (ebo) placed in all these junctions.’’
“Worried by these developments, some of you my Alfas here advised me to move out of the Government House to render their evil plots useless,’’he said.
