Accord party has described the victory of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun West bye-election, Ademola Adeleke as a good omen for the forthcoming 2019 election in Oyo State.
In a statement by its spokesperson. Engr. Akeem Olatunji, the party, congratulated the PDP what it described as “a well deserved victory as it signals the end of civilian dictatorship in Southwest politics.”
It also commended the people “for doing the needful by recording a resounding victory over APC candidate in the Osun West Senatorial election,” adding that it is the party’s hope that the PDP will completely wipe out APC from Osun State political landscape in 2018.”
The party reiterated its determination to cleanse Oyo State of APC negative change by ensuring the party serve as rallying point to defeat Gov Ajimobi’s surrogate that may be fielded by APC in 2019 elections.
