Dr. Adebayo Adepoju, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in Oyo state has said that the lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon Muraina Ajibola has exhausted his ability and capability to represent them well.
Adepoju better known as ‘Ibarapa Kan’ said that constituents are saying “O to ge” (enough is enough) for the lawmaker.
The former chairman of Oyo State Water Corporation made these known to newsmen, on Wednesday, in Igbo-Ora.
He said that “O to ge” (enough is enough) was birthed in Ibarapa as a result of bad representation which led to the backward status of the zone. He said that the people are clamouring for efficient and effective representation.
“I will be offering something different compared to what the present representative has offered. I will make sure that I bring out the best we have in my constituency.
“I will make myself available and accessible to the people.
“The current lawmaker representing our constituency has exhausted his ability and capacity to represent us very well as he has done little or nothing for the people.
“Enough is enough! We cannot accept how the incumbent representative of this zone has failed our people for 16 years. We shall liberate our people through grassroot development” he said.
Why speaking on some of his plans for the good people of Ibarapa Central, North Federal Constituency, he addressed the developmental issues faced by the constituency and explained how he would tackle the challenges if given the opportunity to represent the people at the lower chamber.
He also promised to initiate bills that will improve the welfare of his constituents.
“Education, agriculture, infrastructural development, security, culture and tourism, sustainable youth empowerments and sports are my focal points for my constituency as regarding quality representation at the Green Chamber.
“On education, we will promote education in the zone, most especially the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo Ora. We will work on the infrastructural deficit of this school, as we are already discussing with the State Governor on how to promote the school.
“We will enhance security in this region, from Igangan, Tapa, Aiyete, Idere and Igbo-Ora. We will also promote sports from the grassroots and develop talents across the board.
“While promoting sport, we’ll also promote culture and tourism and maximize all the benefits. We’ll make sure that we get the best of our zone” he assured.
He added that he would use a different and pragmatic approach to bring much-needed succour to the Ibarapa Central/ Ibarapa North constituents.
He charged the people of the zone to vote their conscience and not be induced to vote for any candidate.
Present at the event were Ademola Ojo; Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Aderemi Ayoade; Director General of Adebayo Adepoju Campaign, Hon Azeez Rufai; Former local government chairman and others
