The Action Democratic Party, ADP, Oyo state chapter has warned members of the public to beware of some people parading themselves as members of the party.
The state chairman of the party, Apostle Dare Ojo made this known during a press conference on Wednesday, at the party secretariat in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
He explained that some members of the party have joined other parties but still using the name of the party to take the benefits of the party without carrying the leadership of the party along.
His words: “We are very much aware that many of these people are in now in opposition parties and we don’t have any problems with them but we want them to state clearly where they belong to as they can’t be in two parties at the same time.
“ADP in Oyo state is not in any support of unpleasant act of these fake members and this is why we are telling the public and members of the party that we have fake members among us and we are keen to kick them out.”
He added that the party is not shutting door against these fake members if they really have good intentions that will benefit the party.
“We will welcome them back if they are willing to work with the party not sabotaging the party for their selfish interests.” he added.
Ojo said the party is keen to make more names come 2023 election as they are ready to take Oyo state to greater place.
“We came second during the last local government election in Oyo state and this is to show that the party is ahead in term of providing a good platform for candidates with dreams.” he added.
