Former Governor of Jigawa state and a Presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Sule Lamido yesterday visited Ibadan, the Oyo state capital in a bid for his 2019 presidential ambition.
Sule Lamido and members of his campaign council have yesterday evening visited the Oyo state party officials in Ibadan, in continuation of his nationwide consultation with the national leaders, BOT members and PDP officials across Nigeria.
Lamido in a terse statement by Mansur Ahmed, his social media aide, said the meeting with South West states executives was to ask intimate them about the 2019 presidential ambition of Dr Sule Lamido.
Lamido while speaking revealed reasons why he wants to represent the party and why he wants to become Nigeria’s president in 2019. He thanked the PDP executives in the state for standing firm despite the defection that rocked the state recently.
In a related development, Lamido had earlier met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Olusegun Obasanjo national library Abeokuta, Ogun State over his presidential ambition and for Obasanjo’s blessings on his presidential aspiration in 2019.
