Not less than twelve members of the Oyo state House of Assembly have obtained nomination form and expression of interest form under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Two members obtained forms for Federal House of Representatives, they are Honorable Luqman Olawale Balogun who wants to represent Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency and Honorable Segun Olaleye known as ‘Radical’ who wants to represent Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
Ten members that obtained form for State House of Assembly are Hon. Gbenga Oyekola (Atiba), Hon Afies Adeleke (Iseyin Itesiwaju), Hon Bolaji Badmos (Akinyele II), Hon Ganiyu Aiyesoro (Irepo/Oloorunsogo), Hon Fatai Adesina, Hon Muideen Olagunju, Hon. Biliaminu Azeez (Ona-Ara), Hon. Lasun Oguntade (Egbeda), Hon. Waheed Adeniyi Adeoye (Ibadan North-East II) and Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige (Ibadan South-East II).
The remaining Honourable among the G-13 in the House of Assembly, the Deputy speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Musa Abdulwasi told insideOYO.com that he will obtain his form in due course.
Recall that insideOYO.com had earlier reported that 13 members of the Oyo State House of Assembly from three different parties have pledged their allegiance to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the leadership of former governor of the state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Chief Michael Koleoso, Chief Layiwola Olakojo and Dr Adebisi Busari.
The lawmakers, whose constituencies spread across local government areas in Ibadan city, Ibadan less city, Oyo and Oke-Ogun zone, said their decision was informed by “overwhelming acceptance of ADC within a short period of time and the integrity of its leaders in the state.”
