12 gubernatorial aspirants under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Oyo state, have the dragged the party, the independent national electoral commission, INEC, former governor Rashidi Ladoja and others before the Federal High Court, Abuja.
In a court suit seen by InsideOyo.com on Tuesday and signed by the 12 gubernatorial aspirants, they are praying the court to intervene in the illegal selection of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as gubernatorial candidate.

The 12 aspirants are challenging the alleged imposition of Senator Olufemi Lanlehim as the party’s gubernatorial candidate ahead of 2019 elections.
In a press statement earlier released, they claimed that former governor Rashidi Ladoja, Chief Michael Koleoso Busari and Olakojo took unjust decision of hand picking Senator Lanlehin without wider consultation.
“May we state emphatically that there is no candidate yet for House of Assembly , Senate and Gubernatorial positions from the ADC except those offered automatic tickets in Oyo state via the party’s guidelines,” the statement reads in part.
